    A:  Hi Amys, Yes, you can turn off the ice maker on the freezer by pressing and holding the "Ice maker" on the panel for more than 3 seconds. However, this will also turn off the ice maker on the dispenser. Have a wonderful day. -Kimberly

            Stainless steel quality is junk
            The fridge looks nice, inside is nice and bright and easily adjustable. It's been nice having different choices for ice. Within a week of having the fridge it started making a noise, easily fixed as a tag came untaped and was hitting the fan. Beware if you have young kids this fridge dents and scratches easy.The freezer drawer looks horrible after 6 months from toys bumping it. And magnetic letters scratch the stainless as well. The stainless steel they use is the cheapest and thinnest possible.

              Ice maker leaked water
              After only 3 weeks of purchase, the internal icemaker in the refrigerator was locked up with ice. Not only that, but when machine was being built, a piece of rubber was stuck in the water drain in the refrigerator. The ice maker needed over 30 minutes of work from the repairman to even get the ice drawer to be removed. Ended up a leak of water in the freezer that was never able to be fixed. We have since returned the Samsung refrigerator, and will go back to an LG refrigerator.

                It may work, until Samsung's tech steals parts
                The quality of the fridge is "ok" it does the job if it works. Ours freezer went after 6 months. 3 techs were sent - first 2 agreed on the leak, 3rd was meant to come with a part and fix it. Instead he hacked out filterdryer and took our semi usable fridge from working to a brick. Nobody at Samsung or the repair company cared . It'll take 5 weeks from when the freezer went to get a replacement. You get max $200 for food lost. Moral of the story: Get an American brand from a local appliance shop.

                  Do not buy this piece of junk
                  We have had this fridge for 3 years and have had so many issues with the ice maker. It’s been so disappointing. It constantly freezes up so we bought a steamer to thaw it out. That helped initially but now it freezes weekly. We bought a new ice maker too last summer and were hopeful it would fix the problem, but nope. Same issues. I called Samsung and they offered nothing saying that our ice maker isn’t in the lawsuit right now. I should have bought a different brand.

                    Poor quality and poor customer service
                    I bought this fridge and it died in less than 5 months. Leaked all the Freon, and couldn’t be repaired. Customer service has been horrible. I’ve been without a fridge for over 3 weeks because of how long it takes them to send out 2 separate technicians just to say it’s broken. Then the refund process takes at least 5-8 business days. I can’t even go get a new fridge because I have to hold onto this one until I get the refund, or they might not pay me (per the agent on the phone, it could compromise my refund). We are a family of 4, and the fridge and freezer was stocked up, went away for 3 days and everything was trashed, room temp. They will only reimburse up to $200.00, which is INSANE for food. Nobody is willing to try and help the customer or make it right. I thought I might have had a lemon but the techs both said they see these go bad all the time, very dissatisfied with the product and customer service.

                        Run as fast as you can to another brand of refrigerator. We have two of these. One we had to pay out of pocket for a new motor. One Samsung replaced the ice maker and now the freezer stopped working and now the fridge stopped working and Samsung said not covered. never buy a Samsung appliances.

                            Get the Home Depot protection plan!!
                            We bought this refrigerator with the 2 year samsung warranty and decided not to purchase the home depot protection plan, huge mistake. I have been transfered through 6 different departments starting with very kind people in India. All ask for pictures proof of purchase and so on, now a month has passed with a "refrigerator" well the lights work. I am now providing all the information again and they will come pick it up and take it away for diagnosing, and maybe reimbursing. Still no refrigerator
