Buyer Beware
When the fridge works, it’s nice. It only worked for 2-3 weeks. I’ve been battling with Samsung for 3 weeks & still have not had someone come out, & they will not refund me until someone does. No working fridge & no one cares what this does to a family. Samsung does not have customer service in the US. Home Depot will do nothing for this issue. They said I cannot return the unit because appliances are nonrefundable. Don’t buy Samsung and don’t buy appliances from Home Depot.

    broken. doesn't cool. contacted samsung. 1st tech could not resolve. said have to wait for another tech. they created another ticket. now have to wait for another tech in another week to look at issue. 2-3 weeks without a refrigerator. home depot says not their problem contact samsung. should have bought an LG

      The delivery service was amazingly on time, the service provided however was not satisfactory. The packaging tape was left on the fridge and some kind of foam was stuck to it in several places - just left there. Expectations were for it to be delivered and fully set up for use, we had to spend a bit of time cleaning off all the residue that remained. Just not satisfied with the performance of the delivery crew.

      Do not buy this Samsung Frig!!!!
      This Samsung refrigerator stopped working after just 5 days!! Delivered on 12/21 and the freezer stopped working on 12/26 and then the frig part stopped working a day later. Called homedepot on the 27th and they said they could not do anything because it had been over 48hrs. I had to call Samsung. Called Samsung and they made an appt with a very low rated app repair shop that could not come out for almost 2 weeks! Livid! Called Samsung back to tell them I did not want to pay for a frig that breaks after just 5 days and want a refund. There are many recent reviews on the homedepot site that this same thing happened and yet homedepot continues to sell this unit! I am furious!! Samsung said they can only send a repairman or replace it with the same defective refrigerator! I spent almost $2000 on this and lost all the food in my frif and freezer. Homedepot has a responsibility to make this right since I paid them. I am very disappointed in the level of customer service I am receiving on all sides from both homedepot and Samsung. Somebody needs to make this right!

        Died in 16 days!
        We purchase this right before Thanksgiving when our 10 year old LG died. Food started thawing & the freezer & fridge eventually evened out at 55! The upper ice machine still made ice and kept it frozen. The SMART fridge wasn’t even smart enough to alert us that the temperature was rising. All the app was good for was changing the temperature in the fridge & freezer & turning off the ice makers. Samsung customer service was horrible to say the least. Will NEVER own another Samsung product!

        To ensure optimal performance, we strongly advise setting the temperature to 0 °F (-18 °C) for the freezer and 37 °F (3 °C) for the fridge.

          The item was delivered with a dent in the door, Home Depot would not replace it, the warranty will not replace it so I am stuck with a brand new refrigerator with a dent in the door! Thanks a lot Home Depot, do you see how much we spend a year?

          My very expensive purchase was a failure, since the refrigerator is very deep, it is difficult to take out things that are in the back, because I have to move the ones in front, and also the shelves do not support the weight and they bend, they have no support. I do not recommend it.

          Please don’t go through what I facing right now I got this item four weeks ago and stopped cooling down, after four days a mechanic guy came in and said some oil is leaking, he said to fix that I have to wait another three weeks. Imagine past one week plus three weeks, four weeks without refrigerator! I went the store and explained all that and asked replacement, they said no! I also asked them to remove from my house they refused!!! It’s holiday season and you have a kids. I am helpless

            Don't Buy Samsung
            The refrigerator is really loud and Samsung customer support is horrible. We purchased this fridge at the beginning of Nov. It worked for a week very loudly, then the fridge stopped working and the freezer was only freezing at -8 degrees. Following the manual and trouble sheet provided, I contacted Samsung. They had me reset the fridge and wait overnight. nothing happened so they scheduled a Samsung tech but it took a week to get them out to look at the fridge. The Samsung Smart Care technician not only could not fix the fridge but he was unprofessional, arguing with his own technical support over the phone ultimately not resolving my issue and leaving while telling me Samsung will be reaching out in 2 days to schedule another tech to fix it. Samsung never called, but instead closed my ticket saying it was resolved. I had to open another 2 tickets to get them to respond which resulted in them scheduling another technician to come out in the beginning of December. on the day of the appointment Samsung called me around 11 am, an hour after they were supposed to be at my house and they canceled their appointment saying they are going to push to get me approved for a replacement. At this point we are completely frustrated with Samsung. A week later we were approved for a replacement but this process has taken almost 2 months and now I'm being told we may have the new fridge delivered January 4th. They don't communicate outside of text messages to avoid conflict and complaints and when I've spoken with an actual person, they continously say there is nothing they can do. The customer support is non existent. We will be going through 3 holidays with a partial working fridge and coolers. Don't buy Samsung.
